Lynch Bio
  • Pat Lynch is a native Floridian born in Tallahassee and raised in North Palm Beach.  He attended 12 years of Catholic school (which explains a lot!!) and later moved to the Central Florida area to complete his education at The University of Central Florida graduating with a degree in Radio and Television Communications.  Lynch loved the Orlando area, so he sought out his first real radio job locally landing at WHTQ which at the time was called "Q-96", an early version of what is now referred to as the "active rock" format.  Pat worked for about a year and 1/2 at the station when he was offered a job with Relativity Records in New York City.  The new opportunity was awesome but the New York lifestyle was not, so Lynch returned to Orlando and went back to work in retail as a manager for Peaches Records.  During that time, Pat fought to gain at least a part time job at the legendary Rock 100 WDIZ.  Eventually, he was brought on board at DIZ where he worked his way up to be a full time air talent and the stations Music Director.  Several years later, WDIZ was sold and the station was merged  with 101.1 WJRR.  Lynch became the midday host, Music Director and Assistant Program Director under the late Dick Sheetz.  JRR is where Pat met his longtime radio partner, Taco Bob.  The two immediately hit it off and went on to work together for nearly 13 years on WJRR as "The Fiasco".  In January of 2008, The Fiasco met it's demise and both Lynch and Taco exited the station.  With the dismissal coinciding with the start of an economic recession, Lynch found his only option to keep food on the table was to return to retail.  He managed a Circle K store in Longwood for nearly 2 1/2 years.  Not exactly a dream job but it kept the lights on and they had health insurance!!  Rest assured, Lynch has filed away some very funny show material in his brains rolodex about his experience in the ever so exciting world of convenience store management....In May of 2010 (and proof that time does indeed heal all wounds) Lynch was rehired by WJRR PD Rick Everett as a part time air talent on JRR and  also returned to host the hard rock show he created:  "Hard On Saturday Night".  Flash forward to August and Lynch is now back full time as the afternoon host on WJRR, taking the place of Crash and LT who make the move to rock mornings on the station.  Pat Lynch has been happily married for more than 15 years and lives in Longwood with his wife Lynn (aka "Skynyrd"), daughter Kristin (aka "knuckles") two dogs Barker (aka "the Face ripper offer) and Mugsey (aka complete dumbass).  The family also has a cat and a rabbit to round out the zoo.
