My name is Josh. I host this fine program...
I was born and raised in Eau Gallie, Florida.
I love all types of music, but my heart belongs to METAL.
I've been with WJRR since 2001, and was part of the Midnight Metal/Xtreme Saturday Night programs before the show eventually became known as "Against the Grain". Former hosts Vegas, Nunners and Bones are still some of my best friends.
I bleed Orange and Blue and believe there is absolutely nothing better in the world than being in Gainesville on GAME DAY.
Every show around 12:45a, I'll play a song on ATG - then YOU decide if I play it ever again! When the song is over, shoot me an email to email@example.com with sublject line CRANK IT or YANK IT depending on how you feel about the show! Let your voice be heard!
The band and some crew were recently involved in a tour bus crash outside of Bath, England. They had this to say when checking in from the hospital:
“Thank you to all of you who have been sending the tidal wave of positivity our way. We are uplifted by its sheer magnitude, and power. Every single one of you is making our days and nights easier and our recovery quicker. Thank you all so much, we are truly lucky to have such incredible people on our side. A sincere and heartfelt thank you from each of us to each of you."
In case you missed it, Tthe band released this statement shortly after the crash:
“The band members of Baroness and their crew are recovering from injuries sustained after their tour bus crashed outside of Bath, England early on Wednesday morning. John Baizley has broken his left arm and left leg. Allen Blickle and Matt Maggioni each suffered fractured vertebrae. All three remain in the hospital as of this writing. Pete Adams has been treated and released from the hospital. Three of the five crew members who were on the bus have also been treated and released. One member is still undergoing testing. The driver of the bus remains in critical condition. Please stay tuned for further updates. Thank you for all the support during this extremely difficult time.”
Evergreen Terrace founding member and guitarist Josh James has left the band.
He had this to say about :
“In 1999, a few friends and I started Evergreen Terrace. The band has been a huge part of my life, but it’s time for me to move on. Earlier this year, I joined Stick To Your Guns, and I couldn’t be more stoked. It’s been a natural and exciting progression for me. I really believe in the band and the message. Thanks to everyone who has supported me and Evergreen throughout the years. I’m leaving with some great memories. I wish ET the best of luck and hope to see you all at a STYG show.”
